Menjelang hari raya Galungan dan Kuningan harga kebutuhan bahan pokok di pasar tradisional Kota Denpasar mengalami kenaikan.

Seperti di Pasar Badung dan Pasar Kreneng, harga komoditas pangan seperti, beras, minyak goreng, cabai rawit merah dan bawang putih mengalami kenaikan.

Selain harga beras yang bertahan mahal, harga beberapa bumbu, misalnya cabai dan bawang, kini juga merangkak naik mendekati hari raya Galungan dan Kuningan. Hal ini terjadi dikarenakan Faktor El Nino yang turut mempengaruhi kenaikan harga sejumlah bahan kebutuhan pokok tersebut.

Tim TPID, Perusahaan Daerah Pasar Sewakadarma yang bertugas sebagai pengawasan dan pengendalian bahan pokok terus melakukan pengawasan dan operasi pasar guna untuk mengendalikan laju inflasi, dengan menggelar pasar murah.

“Pelaksanaan pasar murah digelar di pasar tradisional dan desa atau kelurahan Kota Denpasar secara bergiliran,” penjelasan Direktur Utama Perumda Pasar Sewakadarma Kota Denpasar IB Kompyang Wiranata SE., yang juga ketua tim TPID Kota Denpasar.

Lanjut UB Kompyang Wiranata, hal ini kita lakukan selain mengendalikan lajunya inflasi juga untuk memfasilitasi masyarakat agar dapat memenuhi kebutuhan pokok dengan harga terjangkau.

“Dan pasar murah ini merupakan langkah nyata dalam mendukung Pengendaian Inflasi Daerah Kota Denpasar secara berkelanjutan,” lanjutnya. Hal ini dilaksanakan dengan menjaga stabilitas bahan pokok.

Dengan adanya Operasi Pasar tersebut kami berharap mampu meningkatkan akses pangan masyarakat, terutama pangan pokok. (Red/TN)
