Ditandai dengan pengibaran bendera Start, Wakil Gubernur Bali, Tjok. Oka Sukawati membuka Indonesia Heart Bike Bali 2022, Minggu (Redite Paing, Ugu) 18 September 2022 bertempat di Civic Centre Renon Denpasar.

Indonesia Heart Bike dilaksanakan serangkaian memperingati World Heart Day yang jatuh pada 29 September 2022. Kegiatan yang di prakarsai oleh Yayasan Jantung Indonesia (YPI) ini di dilaksanakan secara online dan offline.

Kegiatan bersepeda offline sendiri dilaksanakan di 8 (delapan) kota antara lain: Medan, Jakarta, Bandung, Malang, Denpasar, Semarang, Surabaya dan Makasar. Dan kegiatan online terdiri dari serangkaian kegiatan daring YPI yang telah dilaksanakan dari 2 September hingga 3 Oktober 2022 nanti.

Ketua Yayasan Jantung Indonesia Bali, dr. I Ketut Rina menyampaikan bahwa Masyarakat Bali sangat antusias dalam mengikuti Indonesia Heart Bike 2022.

“Jumlah peserta mencapai 300 hingga 400 orang dari berbagai elemen masyarakat,” ungkapnya.

Ia juga menambahkan bahwa nantinya setiap denyut jantung peserta Indonesia Heart Bike akan dikonversi menjadi rupiah untuk digunakan membiayai operasi anak-anak dengan Penyakit Jantung Bawaan (JPB) dari keluarga pra-sejahtera.

Dengan tagline ‘Siapkan Dirimu, Siapkan Sepedamu dan Donasikan Denyut Jantungmu’, kegiatan Indonesia Heart Bike diharapkan mendorong masyarakat untuk berperilaku hidup sehat melalui bersepeda.

Wakil Gubernur Bali, Cok Ace sangat mengapresiasi kegiatan yang diprakarsai oleh YPI ini. Ia menilai kegiatan ini bukan sekedar ajang yang bertujuan untuk menjaga kesehatan dan meningkatkan mutu kesehatan, namun juga sebagai ajang silaturahmi untuk berkumpul dan bertukar pengalaman.

Lebih lanjut Wakil Gubernur Cok Ace meminta agar seluruh peserta tetap patuh pada rambu-rambu lalu lintas yang ada. “Mohon diikuti rambu-rambu lalu lintas karena beberapa ruas jalan sudah disiapkan untuk bersepeda. Mohon diperhatikan tata tertib lalu lintasnya,” ujar Guru Besar ISI Denpasar ini. (Red-TN)
