Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian Masyarakat (LP2M) STIT Aqidah Usymuni (STITA) Sumenep melaksanakan kegiatan Focus Group Dicussion (FGD) dengan masyarakat penambak udang di Lombang, Bungin-Bungin dan Lapataman.

FGD ini dilaksanakan di dearah Lapataman di rumah salah satu warga dan di warung pinggir tambak pada hari selasa (21 September 2021).

Hadir dalam kegiatan ini Ketua STITA dan anggota peneliti LP2M kampus tersebut untuk mengumpulkan data dari masyarakat secara langsung.

Hadir pula perwakilan warga untuk menyampaikan pengalaman dan keinginannya ke depan.

Shulhan, koordinator tim peneliti mengatakan bahwa pihak LP2M melaksanakan FGD untuk mendapatkan data penelitian dengan cara mendengarkan langsung dari masyarakat pelaku usaha tambak.

“Kami dengan ini bermaksud untuk hiring directly (mendengarkan langsung) pengalaman mereka baik tantangan maupun peluang yang mereka hadapi”, ungkap Shulhan.

Peserta FGD sangat antusias mengikuti diskusi, mereka bergiliran menceritakan tentang pengalaman sebagai petani tambak udang.

Mereka menyampaikan beberapa kendala yang mereka hadapi seperti mahalnya harga pakan dan bibit udang serta limbah yang belum teratasi.

Selain itu mereka juga menyampaikan liku-liku menjadi penambak udang seperti mencari modal, rasa sedih gagal panin dan bahagia saat beruntung.

Ahmad Efendi, ketua STITA sekaligus anggota tim peneliti mengatakan kepada peserta FGD bahwa data-data ini akan sangat bermanfaat baginya, sebagai masukan kepada pihak-pihak terkait seperti pemerintah.

Kegiatan ini merupakan pengayaan data yang diperoleh melaui angket yang sebelumnya dilakukan oleh surveyor.

“Hari ini kami mendengarkan langsung untuk memperkuat data penelitian kami”, ucap Ahmad Efendi

Misnatun dan Kamal (anggota peneliti). Data hasil FGD ini akan diolah sebagai bahan penelitian yang berjudul, “Analisis Dampak Sosial Ekonomi Pengembangan Tambak Udang di Kabupaten Sumenep”.

“Dengan penelitian ini, semoga kami dapat memberikan kontribusi nyata kepada masyarakat dan rekomendasi kepada Pemerintah Sumenep untuk mencipatkan paket kebijakan yang lebih baik untuk masyarakat petambak udang”, ucap shulhan. (Red-TN)
