Gubernur Bali, Wayan Koster, didampingi Wakil Wali Kota Denpasar, I Kadek Agus Arya Wibawa, Wali Kota Banjarmasin, H. M. Yamin HR, serta sejumlah pejabat Kota Denpasar, mengikuti lari maraton dalam rangkaian Sanur Bali International Half Marathon 2026 di Pantai Mertasari, Sanur, Denpasar, Minggu (8/2).

Pada kesempatan ini, Gubernur Wayan Koster menyampaikan kebanggaannya atas terselenggaranya kegiatan yang diikuti puluhan ribu peserta, yang tidak hanya berasal dari Indonesia, tetapi juga pelari dari Amerika, Australia, dan Singapura.

Melalui Sanur Bali International Half Marathon 2026, Gubernur Koster berharap kegiatan ini dapat terus menghidupkan pariwisata Bali.

Sanur Bali International Half Marathon 2026 merupakan kegiatan half marathon beachside pertama di Bali, yang mengambil lokasi di Pantai Mertasari, Sanur, dan Muntig Siokan. Kegiatan ini bertujuan memadukan sport tourism, sunrise race, serta ocean vibes ikonik Sanur.

Dengan peserta 5.000 pelari (runners), lebih dari 50 komunitas lari (running clubs), serta 15.000 wisatawan dan masyarakat lokal, event ini menjadi platform exposure yang kuat dan terukur. Dengan dukungan desa adat dan pemerintah, kegiatan ini dieksekusi oleh tim pelari profesional dengan standar keselamatan tinggi, serta bertujuan mendukung promosi pariwisata Kota Denpasar dan Bali sekaligus mendorong gaya hidup sehat di kalangan masyarakat.

Tiga kategori yang dilombakan yakni 5 kilometer (5K), 10 kilometer (10K), dan half marathon (21K). Rutenya penuh dengan spot sport tourism karena melewati kawasan Sanur dan sekitarnya. Ribuan peserta menjajal jalur pesisir, area perkotaan, serta spot-spot yang menjadi ikon budaya, seni, dan kearifan lokal Bali di wilayah Sanur, Denpasar. (Red/TN)
