I Ketut Suarya, M.Pd., kembali kembali terpilih pemegang nahkoda sebagai ketua Persatuan Guru Republik Indonesia (PGRI) Kota Denpasar masa bakti 2024 – 2029.

Suarya terpilih secara aklamasi dalam Konferensi PGRI Kota Denpasar XXIII yang digelar pada Sabtu 11 Januari 2025, di aula SMPN 2 Denpasar.

Kegiatan Konferensi PGRI Kota Denpasar Ke- XXIII dibuka oleh Wakil Walikota Denpasar, Kadek Agus Arya Wibawa, didampingi oleh Kepala Dinas Pendidikan Kepemudaan dan Olahraga Denpasar, A.A. Gede Wiratama.

Turut hadir dalam acara ini Ketua PGRI Provinsi Bali, I Gusti Ngurah Eddy Mulya, Ketua PGRI Kota Denpasar, I Ketut Suarya, serta sejumlah undangan lainnya.

Dalam sambutannya Wakil Wali Kota Denpasar menyampaikan bahwa pemerintah Kota Denpasar sangat mendukung kegiatan PGRI, terutama dalam rangka mendukung kemajuan pendidikan di Kota Denpasar.

“Kami berharap konferensi ini dapat menghasilkan gagasan dan pemikiran yang berguna bagi organisasi PGRI dan pendidikan ke depannya,” ujarnya.

Sementara Ketua PGRI Kota Denpasar, I Ketut Suarya, dalam sambutannya menyampaikan bahwa konferensi ini wajib dilaksanakan sesuai dengan anggaran dasar dan anggaran rumah tangga PGRI.

Salah satunya yang dibahas didalam konferensi tersebut adalah laporan pertanggungjawaban pengurus masa bhakti XXII tahun 2024-2029, dan penetapan program kerja pengurus masa bhakti XXIII tahun 2024-2029, serta pemilihan pengurus baru untuk periode mendatang.

Dan dalam konferensi tersebut menghasilkan dan menetapkan I Ketut Suarya sebagai Ketua PGRI Kota Denpasar masa bakti 2024- 2029.

Suarya berharap konferensi ini dapat meningkatkan sinergitas dan keselarasan dalam pelaksanaan program kerja PGRI, sehingga dapat meningkatkan kualitas sumber daya manusia di Kota Denpasar.

“Dan kami berkomitmen akan terus memperjuangkan nasib para guru yang ada di Kota Denpasar,” kata suarya.

Suarya juga berjanji akan memastikan hak-hak guru bisa diterima dengan baik serta aspirasi guru tersampaikan.

“Makanya, sosialisasi advokasi tentang AD/ART PGRI, pendataan dan mengadakan roadshow ke cabang-cabang akan terus kami lakukan,” pungkasnya. (RED/TN)
