Pemprov Bali melalui Dinas Pendidikan, Pemuda dan Olah Raga (Disdikpora) menggelar acara SMK Fest untuk tingkat Kabupaten/Kota hingga tingkat Provinsi. Hal itu dikatakan oleh Kepala Dinas Pendidikan, Pemuda dan Olahraga Dr. KN. Boy Jayawibawa dalam keterangan persnya di Denpasar pada Minggu (28/1).

Dilanjutkannya dari tanggal 29 Januari hingga 31 Januari SMK Fest akan digelar untuk tingkat Kabupaten/Kota terlebih dahulu. “Kegiatan akan diadakan di 6 Kabupaten/Kota yaitu Denpasar, Badung, Gianyar, Bangli, Jembrana dan Singaraja,” jelasnya seraya mengatakan untuk SMK Fest tingkat Provinsi akan digelar pada bulan Maret 2024 mendatang di Taman Budaya Denpasar.

SMK Fest sendiri menurutnya adalah panggung berkarya dan berekspresi para peserta didik dan komunitas guru. Acara tersebut bertujuan mengkolaborasikan antara pembinaan kompetensi dan talenta para peserta didik dan komunitas guru. “Kegiatan ini juga bertujuan untuk mengembangkan karakter siswa menuju profil Pelajar Pancasila,” imbuhnya.

Acara yang turut dimeriahkan oleh siswa-siswi SMP, SMA dan SLB se-Bali, Perangkat Daerah Provinsi/Kabupaten/Kota, Masyarakat Umum, juga bentuk kolaborasi antara SMK dengan Dunia Usaha dan Industri (DUDI) serta masyarakat Bali yang peduli Vokasi. “SMK Fest diharapkan mampu memberikan gambaran, informasi dan referensi SMK/Pendidikan Vokasi kepada seluruh lapisan masyarakat Bali,” tutupnya.

Sebagai informasi, lulusan SMK di dunia usaha cukup tinggi, karena mereka dianggap sangat kompeten dan siap bekerja. Hasil Tracer Study 2023 menunjukkan alumni SMK yang Bekerja (41.4%), Melanjutkan studi (31.0%), dan Berwirausaha (19.5%). Hasil serapan bekerja ini meningkat dari tahun sebelumnya yaitu 38,8%.
