Guru adalah sosok yang dapat membentuk jiwa dan watak peserta didik. Guru mempunyai kekuasaan untuk membentuk dan membangun kepribadian anak didik menjadi seorang yang berguna bagi agama, nusa dan bangsa. Dan guru bertugas mempersiapkan manusia susila yang dapat diharapkan membanguun dirinya serta membangun bangsa dan Negara.

Demikian disampaikan Tokoh PGRI Bali Drs. IGB Arthanegara S.H., M.H., M.Pd., sekaligus Ketua YPLP PT IKIP PGRI Bali. diruang kerjanya, Senin (5/12/2022).

IGB Arthanegara juga menyampai suksesnya pendidikan tidak bisa kita serahkan kepada guru saja. Tetapi peran orang tua juga penting serta masyarakat dan pemerintah.

“Terkait dengan kenakalan siswa di Era Globalisasi ini, pengaruh lingkungan akan jauh terasa karena sudah berkembangnya teknologi, informasi, komunikasi akan menjadi dampak buruk bagi remaja yang salah dalam penggunaanya”, jelas Arthanegara.

Nah ini semua tanggung jawab siapa?…. Kata Tokoh PGRI Bali. “Ini semua adalah tanggung jawab kita bersama”, tegasnya.

Lebih lanjut kata Arthanegara, Orang tua harus memberikan bimbingan dan pengawasan, sekolah (guru) juga harus memberikan pendidikan Karakter yang baik serta lingkungan ( masyarakat) yakni tokoh agama ataupun tokoh masyarakat juga harus hadir disitu.

Makanya, lanjut Ketua YPLP PT IKIP PGRI Bali ini, Universitas PGRI Mahadewa Indonesia (UPMI) Denpasar Bali sudah tidak ada lagi Dosen S1, minimal S2 dan S3″, ungkapnya sembari mengatakan UPMI siap mencetak Pendidik (Guru) yang berkualitas agar dapat mendidik siswa dengan baik.

“Guru yang berkualitas dapat menghasilkan siswa yang baik”, pungkasnya.(Red-TN)
